Most eSIM problems are one setting. Try the eight checks below first — if none of them is it, open a ticket at the bottom of this page and a human takes over.

Before you open a ticket

These are the checks we'd walk you through anyway, in the order they usually solve it. Working through them takes about two minutes and fixes the large majority of tickets on the spot.

  1. 1

    Data roaming is off

This is the number one cause of a dead eSIM. Data roaming must be ON for the Silent eSIM line — everywhere in the world, including at home. It does not cost extra. iPhone: Settings → Cellular → [Silent eSIM] → Data Roaming.

  2. 2

The wrong line is selected for data

Your home SIM is probably still set as the cellular data line. Set Silent eSIM as the mobile data line: iPhone Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data; Android Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Mobile data.

  3. 3

    The balance hit $0

There is no overage here — when your balance runs out, data pauses instead of billing you. Check the balance on the account page and top up; the same eSIM comes straight back online, no reinstall.

  4. 4

It says No service or Searching…

Toggle Airplane Mode on, wait ten seconds, off. Set network selection to Automatic rather than a manually chosen carrier. Reboot. First attach is harder indoors, so step near a window or outside.

  5. 5

    The QR code won't scan

Be on Wi-Fi while installing, and make sure the phone is carrier-unlocked. The QR is single-use: if the profile was already installed on another phone, it will not install again — open a ticket and we'll re-issue it. On iOS 17.4+ the direct-install link on your order page works in one tap.

  6. 6

You set an APN by hand

Don't. The APN is configured automatically. A manually entered APN is a common self-inflicted cause of connected-but-no-data. Remove it and let the profile configure itself.

  7. 7

    It's slow in one spot

Speed depends on the local partner network and your device — coverage is not guaranteed in any specific building or street. Check 5G is enabled (iPhone: Settings → Cellular → [Silent eSIM] → Voice & Data), or reselect the operator manually once and set it back to Automatic.

  8. 8

    Hotspot isn't sharing

Hotspot is enabled on every plan, but the eSIM usually has to be the default mobile data line before tethering will use it. Set that first, then turn the hotspot on.

Still stuck? That's what the form below is for. Refunds, billing, lost access and anything about a specific order are always handled by a person — see the refund policy for how those are decided.

Open a ticket

No account needed. Include your ICCID, the country you're in and what your phone shows, and we can usually answer in one reply instead of three.

We only use it to answer this ticket. Nothing else.

Find it on your order page or on /account. Including it saves a round trip.

Your ticket is logged straight away and a human reviews it. You'll get a ticket ID on the next screen — keep it, it's how we find your case.

Prefer to read first? The FAQ covers expiry, privacy and coverage, and the contact page has the same form with a checklist of what to include.
