Samsung eSIM Phone List

Samsung introduced eSIM with the Galaxy S20 in 2020. Every flagship S-series phone since then, the Galaxy Note 20 line, and every Z Fold and Z Flip foldable support eSIM — but support depends on where your phone was originally sold. Samsung restricts eSIM on some regional variants, so check your specific device with *#06# before buying a plan.

Galaxy A series eSIM support

Samsung's mid-range A series supports eSIM on newer models, but only on units sold in certain regions. If you bought your phone outside the regions listed below, it will not have eSIM even though the model appears here.

Older and entry-level A series phones — including the A50, A51, A52, A15 and A14 — do not support eSIM in any region. The same applies to the Galaxy M series.

Samsung phones that do not support eSIM

The Galaxy S10 series and every Samsung phone released before it use a physical SIM only. The Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ also have no eSIM, despite launching close to the S20. Beyond model age, Samsung restricts eSIM on several categories of device regardless of how new they are:

• Any Galaxy device originally sold in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan or Macao
• All Galaxy Fan Edition (FE) models except the Galaxy S23 FE
• US models of the Galaxy S20, S20+, S20 Ultra and Note 20 Ultra
• Most Galaxy devices sold in South Korea, other than the S23, S24, Z Fold 4, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 4, Z Flip 5 and A54
• Budget A series and M series phones

The reliable way to check is to dial *#06# on the phone itself. If a 32-digit EID number appears alongside the IMEI, that specific handset supports eSIM regardless of what any compatibility list says.
